One year ago, we opened Northwind Cannabis with a simple mission — to serve the Anacortes, Oak Harbor, and Skagit County communities with premium Washington cannabis, a welcoming atmosphere, and the integrity of the Samish Indian Nation behind everything we do.
Since then, you’ve helped us grow into a place we’re genuinely proud of. First-time visitors have become regulars. Regulars have become friends. And the entire team here has been humbled by the support we’ve received from locals, travelers, and everyone who’s stopped by our Highway 20 location.
We wouldn’t be here without you. So on Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 12pm to 4pm, we’re throwing a party — and you’re invited.

Because you can’t have a party without food. Cady’s Cocina will be on-site slinging free tacos throughout the event. Come hungry.

We’re bringing the fun — spin the wheel for on-the-spot deals, enter raffles for prizes, and take advantage of exclusive one-day-only discounts throughout the store.

Why This Anniversary Matters to Us
When the Samish Indian Nation opened Northwind Cannabis, it wasn’t just about opening a dispensary — it was about creating something the community could be proud of. Tribal-owned. Locally rooted. Committed to quality, respect, and hospitality.
One year in, we’ve served customers from all over — Anacortes locals, Oak Harbor commuters, Whidbey Island residents, San Juan Islands travelers, folks passing through on Highway 20. Every conversation, every recommendation, every returning customer has helped shape who we are.
This event is our way of saying thank you. To our customers. To our vendors. To our team. And to the Samish Indian Nation for making this possible.
What to Know Before You Come
🪪 ID Required: This is a 21+ event. Everyone entering must have a valid government-issued photo ID.
🚗 Plan Your Ride Home: If you’re planning to enjoy anything at the consumption area or try infused samples, please line up a designated driver, rideshare, or sober friend before you come. Driving under the influence of cannabis is illegal and unsafe. We want you to have a great time — and get home safely.
🍸 Consumption Area Rules: Legal on-site sampling is available in our dedicated consumption area. Purchase required to enter, per Washington State law. Please pace yourself — infused slushies and concentrates can hit harder and last longer than expected, especially if you’re mixing product types.
🪧 Know Your Limits: Cannabis affects everyone differently. Start low, go slow, and enjoy the experience without overdoing it. Our staff and vendor reps are here to help you find the right products at the right amounts for you.
⏰ Timing: Vendors and giveaways run 12pm-4pm. Best to arrive early to catch all the vendor conversations and be first in line for tacos.
🅿️ Parking: Free lot on-site with easy access off Highway 20.
🛒 Regular Store Shopping: Open as usual — plus one-day-only discounts and deals throughout the store.
📸 Photos: We’ll have staff around taking photos of the event. Prefer not to be photographed? Just let us know.
💧 Stay Hydrated: Water will be available throughout the event. Please drink plenty — it makes the whole day better.
